This is the first session from the studio :) Of course my own boys tested it out but to have a scheduled session take place for the FIRST time was honestly just awesome! Sweet Hunter is just two weeks old and loves to be swaddled.
The second I placed him down to start the session he immediately smiled. Truly, that melted my heart.
I'm so excited to welcome you into the newest addition of Eva Higgins Photography - the STUDIO!!! I know you are wondering - A studio for a "natural light photographer?" Why do I need a studio and what about my outdoor sessions?!
No worries, outdoor sessions will continue to be my primary setting but I'm happy to have the demand for a studio. All of those precious newborn babies I get the opportunity to photograph need a place with consistent lighting and room for props. I'll also be able to offer a few mini-sessions and special Holiday sessions (look for Santa Sessions this Christmas)!
I looked for spaces to rent for about a year before I finally decided to purchase a 12x24 building. Yes, a storage building! Some thought I was crazy but I had a vision and I knew it would work. When it arrived it was literally just the shell - plywood floors, no electricity, studs...nothing! With the help of some amazing people, we have beautiful floors, bright walls, full power, lighting, and a fully functional space for creativity to blossom.

Today is this due date of a sweet little boy whose family is very excited to meet him. He will be so blessed with such amazing parents and a darling big sister.

He dazzled the ladies who were out studying on the AU lawn - he brought flowers, leaves, and smiles all their way. He definitely made me smile as we raced, climbed, and enjoyed a few cookies!
I know I've said it before but truly, you are more than just my clients. You are my friends, my family - we laugh together, smile, run, play, and sometimes cry together. So, when it is important to you, it is important to me. Like, finding out that there will be a third E baby! I am ecstatic to see this family grow and to help capture more moments like these.
This session was SO.MUCH.FUN! I love college football season so when this adorable family wanted to do gear up in their Georgia jerseys and bring along the pups, I was definitely game.

I have my "style" with photography - it's what my clients know me for, they like it, I like it. It's clean, natural, and bright. But, sometimes I get home and I see a session unfold on my screen and I decide to go in a different direction.
This was one of those times, I wanted to capture the bold personality that this sweet girl has. She's fun and playful. She likes to do her own thing. She literally had us all chasing after her, smiling and laughing.
As we were driving to the peach trees this evening I explained to my 3 year old that we were going to take a few, quick photos with some pretty trees. He then told me how much he likes trees - green trees to be exact. So, when he found out that I was taking him to PINK trees, he exclaimed, "Trees are not pink, Mama. Trees are greeeeeeeeennn!"
But, when we pulled up and he saw with his own eyes that these trees had pink blooms and not a trace of green, he politely told me, "You were right, Mama. These trees are pink. But, I like green trees better."

I think we all know that Disney holds some sort of magic that makes everything there a little extra special. Our time in Orlando was no exception to this. Our imaginations went wild and we smiled the entire week.
This adorable family was just icing on the cake! Disney's Boardwalk was spectacular, lively, and made the perfect backdrop for sweet girl's one year old photos.
My Tuesday started off a little bumpy...nothing quite flowed for me that morning. I woke up later than I should, it was starting to rain, I had to fit a normal 45 minute morning routine into 15 minutes....you know THAT kind of morning. So, when I finally left my house (5 minutes late) I prayed for a better outlook for the day. I did not want my crazy morning to cloud my day - especially since I was headed to a wonderful session with four daughters and their mother.
And you know what happened - my own little rainbow appeared in the form of these five amazing women. Literally, they were a burst of color on that rainy morning and I couldn't help but feel hopeful for the day.
They were filled with laughter and smiles and it was very contagious.
Five strong, confident, and loving women graced my Tuesday morning and lifted my spirits for the day.

I've been welcomed into this beautiful families home twice. Each time they have welcomed a baby girl and each time I've been so thankful to be invited.
I'll watch them grow from sisters into best friends and I'll excitedly be behind the camera to capture those moments.

There is so much joy in holding a baby. I always smile so big the minute I get to meet the newest member of your family and I am beyond grateful that you allow me to capture these new, innocent, and loving moments with your family.
Just as the sun was setting, she looked down and smiled. This is such a beautiful time for this mother-to-be and I'm thankful to capture this moment for her.
From graduation, their wedding, and now their baby girl, this beautiful family has allowed me to be part of their lives for so many special occasions. I cherish their love for one another, their passion for their sweet family, and their kind hearts.
